Kony 2012I've gotten a lot of requests to talk about this, which coincidentally happened right along side my two political cartoons taking off like wild fire. Dunno if it was an accident or bad timing, but right now it seems like everyone wants me to talk about Kony... which I honestly don't know why because I'm not a journalist and everyone else is making such a big deal about it I don't know what else I could offer to the discussion other than "yup, this is going on, check out the links."

Now keep in mind this next bit will be very scarce in details because I still haven't been able to muster up enough facts and everyone else seems to already know so much, so I apologize if it's a bit condensed.

Ib 1.04!Hello everyone! You guys may not know me, since I don't post journals, but I'm ~ToxiicLolita and I help out in the group^^
Anyway, as the title says, there is a new and updated version of Ib!
From vgperson's tumblr:
"Over a year after the release of version 1.02 (and a little less than a year after the release of my translation), Ib has been updated to version 1.04. (1.03 was an intermediate version: 1.02 with smaller filesize, and it was only available on compilation CDs and stuff.)
I may post a complete list of changes later, but here are the big ones:
- The music is compressed, so the filesize is smaller. (About time.)
- There are new paintings and conversations to find in old areas.
- A new branch is available that leads to two new endings.
- After any good ending (read: Ib escapes), you can start the game over, keeping track of your endings and such.
- After you beat the game once and continue as mentioned above
Report backlogging: What you can do to prevent it!The deviation reporting system works like this:
Someone submits a report through the "Report Deviation" button and waits to get reviewed  by the administration. When a report of the same deviation the report  merges with the current report and get's a higher chance of an administrator reviewing it.

A deviant finds another deviant who is breaking the rules and files a report using the +help desk and awaits a response from an administrator. While another deviant files a report about the same deviant, thus the staff now have two
reports of the same person. Sure they're categorized. But they do not merge together, making it more difficult for the administration who deals with reports if there is twenty reports about one deviant.

Funny animation errorsNot all animations have to be high quality, but pointing out their mistakes can be a bit funny sometimes, pay attention closely to some of the images, cause some are pretty hard to recognize. I don't own any of these pictures.

I got a few requests to include the list in a seperate journal entry, so here it is! I was also requested to include download links/info etc to the games. I'll do my best, but I haven't got time to search for all of them/play all of them, so if anyone could provide me with links, brief descriptions, or titles of new games, that would be fantastic! I will put a * ? wherever further information would be appreciated (this will mostly be in cases of my not having played the game).

This is a list of games similar to Ib by kouri. The themes are relatively short, mild horror/puzzle RPG games for PC. Free and by independant game creators. Majority are created in RPGmaker and require RTPmaker to play (it's free and easy to download!).

Ib :by Kouri. DOWNLOAD: [link]
(Pronounced similarly to 'Eve') A game about a girl who gets locked in a gallery. Strange things start to occur.
Relatively short. Not too difficult or scary. Developed plot.

Ao Oni :by nonprops. DOWNLOAD: [link]
(English translation: Blue Demon.) About four friends who decide to explore a haunted mansion.
Similar length to Ib. Contains a few jump-scares and puzzles, but nothing too difficult. Focuses less on plot and more on survival-horror.

About a girl who goes to explore a house in the woods, led by a cat. The house contains many dark secrets.
Slightly longer than Ib, and considerably scarier. The puzzles are not too difficult, and focus more on reflexes/retries than logic. Not much dialogue, but fairly developed characters.

About a few students who go to an elementary school that was previously occupied by a school where many murders of staff and pupils occurred. The students are transported into an alternate dimension where they are haunted by the ghosts of the murdered staff and pupils.
PEGI rating 16. Very graphic and contains dead bodies/rape scenes.

(Shortened to TML) About a little girl who explores an empty house with no visible means of escape. Focuses on open interpretation by the player.
Fairly short and strange. It is very open-ended to allow the player to think about its meaning. Very little plot.

The game focuses on saving the girl; apart from that the plot is not too developed as far as I have heard. As made obvious by the synopsis, it contains some horror elements.

(Translation: Dream Diary) About a girl whose life is nothing more than dreams.
Can take a long time to complete. Very difficult and abstract, with little plot. The game is less about storyline and more about interpretation. Not scary as such, but it does have some images and scenes which can be considered disturbing or haunting. Also contains flashy stuff, so epilepsy warning. There are many spinoffs of this game which are listed below.

Okay, I have no idea if someone mentioned this already but here I go.
I have played Corpse Party, the first and second for PSP.
Book of Shadows is basically made off the wrong end in chapter 5 where you get sent back in time and only Satoshi knows what happens while the other characters have deja vu.
Its not like the first one, its now more like a Visual Novel and only thing that could probably scare you is a certain pop up.
Back to the story,
The side characters get more story to them. Some of the characters' chapters are to try to change their fate of dying while others are past experiences, add more depth to the original death plot or a whole new ending.

Its available in english since Jan 16th 2013

I heard theres a whole new corpse party coming out its called Dead Patient and if my information is correct, its coming out for PC and I would give that the "english players" or "people who can understand the language but cant buy it because they arent in Japan" would have to wait 1-2 years until people translate it and put it up for sale.
