Hello everyone....
So there's an issue which seems to be particularly pressing lately so I felt the need to re-state this to everyone.
You are not permitted to submit any form of art that IS NOT YOURS.

That includes edits, 'renders', traces, or re-posted art.
If you didn't draw something, you should not be submitting it - hell, you shouldn't even be posting it on dA.

Think about it this way; imagine an artist on pixiv.com drew a picture of Garry to show their appreciation for the Ib game. Somebody else saw that image and liked it, saved it to their computer, and edited it; they put an effect or texture on it, or they traced over it to create their own picture. Now, that's fine (provided that you don't claim the art as your own). They did it for fun and they did it privately, so it's all okay.

Posting it on the internet is a different matter, because by doing that you're exposing an artist's work to a new audience without their consent. They don't know that you've done that. What if the artist who drew the original picture had a dA account, and was planning on posting their picture here too? They submit it to this group, and what do they see? Their own picture, in the Featured gallery, with 1000+ favorites, compliments, downloads; all going to someone else.

That's art theft; you're stealing some-one else's recognition and you should not do it. Even if you say in the description 'this doesn't belong to me' or 'belongs to (username)' you still just should not do it. Post things that you drew yourself and be proud of them. There's literally no reason for submitting someone else's work.

I'm sorry if I sound harsh about this!! But as a victim of art theft myself, it's not a fun experience and even if you're not doing it with bad intentions, it's still a bad thing to do.

Not to mention that we explicitly state this in our group's rules, and yet for some reason we still get tons of submissions every day that don't belong to the submitter. It gets very hard to keep track of whether or not a person's art belongs to them.

So please, if everyone could help me here and try to stop art theft...!! If you see a submission in a gallery that blatantly was not drawn by the OP, please do your best to get it removed from the group, whether it's reporting the deviation to the admins or flagging the deviation etc. Please, let's stop art theft in this group together!

(B-by the way, if you're someone who has done something I mentioned above before...I'm not mad!! Just please don't do it again.)

Being honest I may have done it in the past (generally just for the pose)... >Crying in the corner<
